More opposition sites blocked in Russia

Andrey Lugovoy, the man wanted in the UK in connection with the Litvinenko murder, has not only been elected to the Duma but has co-sponsored a bill allowing the prosecutor’s office to block “extremist” sites without waiting for a court order. Today, the prosecutor general office has blacklisted a number of opposition sites, including grani.ru, ej.ru, kasparov.ru, Alexei Navalny’s LiveJournal blog and his blog at Ekho Moskvy.
