One thing I can’t imagine

I do not know Georgian so I can’t evaluate the quality of Joseph Dzhugashvili-Stalin’s youthful poems. I am no connoisseur of painting so I can’t tell if Hitler’s watercolors are any good. I have read a Russian translation of a poem by Mao Tse-tung written during the Cultural Revolution, but I know of no way of judging Chinese poetry. (Just bought a recording of Das Lied von der Erde though.)

Yet something tells me there is no way Hitler could have been a fan of Hollywood musical comedies. In case you’re wondering, Stalin is reported to have been one. More on his tastes, and Samuel Pokrass in particular, to come when I regain both time and energy.
