Goings-on

1. At a meeting with Schroeder and Chirac, Putin agrees the two Russian planes were brought down by terrorists.

2. A female suicide bomber kills 10 at the entrance to a metro (subway/underground) station in Moscow. Her head is later found on the roof of the station’s vestibule.

3. A group of terrorists capture over 350 people, including about 100 children, in a school building in Beslan (Northern Ossetia, a republic-member of the Russian Federation). Sixteen people are already reported dead. The crisis continues.

UPDATE. The number of hostages, it seems, is not 350 but close to 1000.
