RBC, a leading Russian business news agency, reports, citing the AP:

Pakistan: Children demand execution of Mohammed cartoon authors

Children aged 8 to 12 took part in a 5,000-strong demonstration in Pakistan today. The young participants demanded that the authors of the cartoons depicting the prophet Mohammed be executed. “Hang those who insulted the prophet,” shouted the children during the protest.

A compulsory burning of American, Israeli, and Danish flags followed. Nothing remarkable about the piece, though, except parallels to marching Soviet Young Pioneers, especially in the 1930s (“Shoot the enemies of the people like mad dogs!”) and the perverse juxtaposition: children… demand… execution…
