Rainbows over central Moscow

Two images from last Monday, three days before the World Cup began. The rainbow in this one rises from behind the Maly Theater building on the left and hangs over the Metropol hotel. Here, the brighter of the two rainbows seems to end behind the church of the Epiphany monastery in Kitay-Gorod (the Metropol is on the left). The belltower with a green dome to the right of the church is a remnant of the Greek monastery of St. Nicholas.

Further right, a massive statue of Karl Marx. Yet more to the right, between a lamppost and the blue vertical banners, there are the belltower and church of the Holy Mandylion (Zaikonospassky) monastery.
