Breckinridge played an alien ruler in the cult film Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959) and would become a stylish fixture of hippie-era San Francisco.
For some reason, Ed Wood doesn’t get mentioned by name: perhaps Paglia felt it would be overkill. The creator of Glen or Glenda next to the creator of Myra and Myron? Too much.
